An industrial-grade Mini-ITX motherboard, suitable for a variety of applications, has been launched by Advantech. The AIMB-225, which is based on the AMD Embedded G-series SoC, is suitable for use in gaming machines, surveillance, ATM/Kiosks and automation. Due to the board's SoC and SUSIAccess remote management software, the motherboard provides high-performance graphics and efficient system management.

The AIMB-225 comes with high connectivity and multiple high-speed I/O. These include: 2 x USB 3.0, 6 x USB 2.0, 2 x SATAIII (SATA2 co-layout with mSATA), 1 x internal keyboard/mouse port, 1 x internal printer port, 5 x COM, PCIe x 4 (supports PCIe x 16 cards), 2 x MiniPCIe (1 x F/S, 1 x H/S) expansion sockets and a SIM card holder for wifi/3G module installation. In addition, the motherboard supports 8-bit digital programmable I/O with three BTX type Audio Jacks, and comes with dual PCI Express based Gigabit Ethernet ports (Realtek 8111G), delivering up to 1000 Mbps of bandwidth for network-intensive applications.

Integrating AMD HD Graphics with DX11.1, OpenCL1.2 and OpenGL4.2, the  AIMB-225 enables parallel processing and high-performance graphics processing that provides superior performance when running multiple industry-standard graphics-intensive benchmarks. The motherboard also supports high resolution Displayport 1.2, and has multiple display port choices of VGA, DVI-D, LVDS and eDP, making it particularly suitable for gaming and medical applications.

The AIMB-225 also bundles with Advantech SUSIAccess, which provides remote device management and system recovery powered by Acronis. This allows users to monitor, configure, control, and even recover multiple systems through a single console from a remote site.
