Carbon connector suits connecting printed circuit boards
The Zebra 1002 Carbon Connector from Fujipoly offers electronic device manufacturers an extremely affordable and reliable option for connecting printed circuit boards to a variety of LCD displays. The unique layered construction of this interconnect device includes 240 alternating layers of conductive and non-conductive silicone per inch allowing it to accommodate contact pad spacing as close as .015” (0.38mm).
IF signal conditioning unit has programmable gain/attenuation
Manufacturer of integrated systems, embedded boards, enabling software and application-ready platforms, VadaTech, has announced the AMC902, a dual-channel IF signal conditioning unit providing programmable gain/attenuation. The module allows analogue signal conditioning to be integrated into MicroTCA sub-systems for radar, SIGINT and data acquisition applications.
BeagleBone board boasts WiFi, Bluetooth capabilities
Three new products in the successful open source BeagleBone range are being shipped by Premier Farnell. They are BeagleBone Black Wireless, the element14 Wireless Connectivity Cape and the element14 4.3in. Display Cape. The BeagleBone Black Wireless now has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities built in, removing the need for design or hardware workarounds.
Development platform accelerates IoT designs
The PIC24F Curiosity Development Board from Microchip Technology is now being shipped by Mouser Electronics. The board is a cost-effective, fully integrated 16-bit development platform for first-time users, designers, and those requiring a feature-rich rapid prototyping board. The board includes an integrated programmer/debugger and requires no additional hardware to get started.
OEM platform delivers video over Ethernet
The All Media Over IP (AMoIP) board level solution from CoreEL is available at L2Tek.. The AMoIP is a versatile market ready OEM platform which transmits and receives video, audio and control over standard 1G Ethernet infrastructure optimised with ultra-low latency for real-time interaction with the video content applicable within medical, industrial and surveillance use.
Extension board aids LoRa-based designs
The STM32 LoRaWAN Discovery Board from STMicroelectronics (ST) is now available at Mouser Electronics . The new Discovery Kit and I-NUCLEO-LRWAN1 STM32 LoRa Arduino-compatible extension board provides a development platform for learning and evaluating solutions based on LoRa and FSK/OOK radio frequency (RF) communication.
Boards support LPWAN evaluation for IoT connectivity
Two new ready-to-use prototype boards available from STMicroelectronics slash the cost for developers to start evaluating LoRaWAN and other LPWAN technologies including WM-Bus and 6LoWPAN. The boards are based on the smallest and lowest-power LoRaWAN modules that exist on the market today, with a footprint not larger than 13x12mm and power consumption in the range of 1.2µA in standby mode.
Backplane connector provides signal integrity
The Impulse Orthogonal Direct Backplane Connector System has been introduced by Molex. It is designed for high-density data centre applications and also supports data rates of 56Gbps NRZ and 112Gbps PAM4 with superior signal integrity.
High performance CPU-based board offers vision choices
The EPIC-KBS7 Board from AAEON is ideally suited for image based applications. The highly integrated board is based on the 6th/7th Generation Intel Core i-Series processor and is equipped with four USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 interfaces, making it particularly suitable for machine vision applications.
