AAEON introduces a new 8 x 5.75 Compact Form Factor board that features Intel Atom N455 or D525 Processors and ICH8M chipset. Since the Atom platform was created specifically for low-powered, mobile, high-performing and durable life-cycle products, PCM-LN02 embodies all of these coveted qualities. The SBC with the N455 processor comes with a fanless heatsink while the SBC with the D525 processor comes with a fanned heatsink.

Kontron extended its COM Express basic ETXexpress-SC Computer-On-Module product family with three entry-level modules equipped with the cost-optimized Intel Celeron dual core processor and Intel HM65 Platform Controller Hub. The new Intel Celeron processor-based SKUs are entry-level additions to Kontron's comprehensive COM Express Computer-on-Modules line, based on Intel's monolithic microarchitecture. With these new versions, the Kontron ETXexpress-SC is now available in nine different performance versions with Type 2 and Type 6 Pin-out ensuring developers get the exact performance they require.

Vero Technologies has expanded its Options Board family, which provides a simple method of providing multiple interconnect formats, with the addition of a 9-way min D, USB A and B mezzanine interface board to the existing 15-way min D, USB A or B, 25-way Min D, USB A or B and 37-way Min D versions. The Options Board makes it very easy to create an interface between, for example, a VMEbus or cPCI-based system and the product in development or under test.

Rittal has introduced a standardised coding system which provides 4096 different coding options on a 6U plug-in printed circuit board. Simple plastic coding keys are fitted into cavities in the back of handles on the plug-in board front panel and in the front of a range of guide rails installed in the subrack. Available in red or grey the keys are offset and if installed the same way on both the guide rail and the plug-in board, they will interfere, thus preventing insertion.

The Options Board adds standard connector formats for easy prototyping
The iconic Veroboard is the definitive product in the physical prototyping world, and, based around the venerable DIN41612 connector, Vero Technologies manufactures a huge range of different board designs. The latest version, the modular Options Board family, provides a simple method of providing multiple interconnect formats. Available initially in 3U and 6U 160mm and 6U 220 and 280mm boards in single and double sided square pad and stripline formats, and as a square pad PTH board, the new units feature a cutout at one or both ends to accommodate a mezzanine board that is pre-configured to accept Min D and USB connectors. The Options Board makes it very easy to create an interface between, for example, a backplane-based test system and a piece of stand-alone equipment.
