congatec further standardises interface setup for SMARC 2.0
congatec has introduced a SMARC 2.0 module supporting powerful USB-C connectivity. The utilisation of the USB-C specification makes USB interconnects even more universally applicable, further standardising the interface setup of SMARC 2.0-based embedded devices.
Latest education kit enhances embedded computing
The ninth and latest Education Kit from the ARM University Program has been introduced. The Embedded Linux Education Kit provides full courseware on developing embedded Linux products, including Linux kernel configuration and custom peripheral driver development, using low cost, powerful ARM-based single board computers.
Mezzanine card helps to cut time to market
A high speed mezzanine card for Intel Cyclone V FPGA boards was launched at embedded world by Inova Semiconductors. The transceiver card has been co-developed by Inova and the Intel Programmable Solutions Group, and enables engineers to easily set-up hardware for testing and system development with the APIX2 automotive video interface.
Distributor develops IoT development platform
A new FPGA IoT Maker Board that has been designed for end-to-end application development and optimised for cost has been developed by Arrow Electronics. The Arrow MAX1000 board can be installed directly into a custom application or integrated on to a completely separate board.
Evaluation boards help cut sensor development time
The Telaire AAS-AQS-UNO air quality evaluation boards from Amphenol Advanced Sensors are in stock at Mouser Electronics. The boards help engineers evaluate Telaire air quality sensors and other sensors from the Amphenol range and support Bluetooth low energy 4.0 and a 128 × 64 OLED screen.
COM modules offer high flexibility for system integration
TQ has extended its x86 product range. The new COM Express Compact module, TQMxE39C2, is equipped with Intel Atom E3900 series processors and, with two DDR3L SO DIMM sockets, offers high flexibility for system integration. A further version, with soldered DDR3L storage and ECC support, is also nearing preparation and will be available from May 2017. For applications with small dimensions, the new SMARC 2.0 module, TQMxE39S, is useful.
Dual-core boards for radar applications
Manufacturer of integrated systems, embedded boards, enabling software and application-ready platforms, VadaTech, has announced the AMC535 and AMC536 AdvancedMC FMC carriers based on Altera Arria-10 FPGAs. The AMC535 uses the SX660 so it is SoC enabled with a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore, while the AMC536 uses GX1150 providing 1,150 thousand LEs. Both boards come with 16GB of 64-bit wide DDR-4 organised as two banks for high-speed data bufferin...
