SynQor enhances its eighth-brick line with the addition of the new EKA series to its PowerQor® family of isolated dc/dc converters for 48V telecom equipment. The PQ60xxxEKA converter series is composed of next-generation, board-mountable, isolated, fixed switching frequency dc/dc converters that use synchronous rectification to achieve extremely high power conversion efficiency. The compact series delivers up to 50W of power and is comprised of seven output voltages including 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, 5V, 12V, and 15V.
The EKA series specifically addresses the telecom market’s need for high volume, single-output voltage power solutions requiring up to 50W. Manufactured at SynQor’s US-based, state-of-the-art facility and applying the company’s optimized supply chain management processes, the EKA series utilizes the most cost-effective technologies and topologies in order to minimize component count and bill-of-material costs. SynQor now offers a commodity power solution with best-in-class pricing which is supported by its quality and reliability, delivery flexibility, and manufacturing operations excellence.

The space-saving PQ60xxxEKA series has a wide input voltage range of 35-75V, is capable of withstanding input transients up to 100V for 100ms, and has a basic 2000Vdc input to output isolation level. Control and protection features include input under-voltage lockout, input over-voltage shutdown, output OVP, current limit, short circuit and thermal shutdown protection. The device has a broad operating temperature range of -40° to +100°C, and is fully RoHS 6/6 compliant.
