ProVision Communications, the wireless video company, has been shortlisted for a CSI (Cable & Satellite International) Award.
The company's AXAR1500 multi-room wireless video system has been cited by the expert panel as one of 2010's top five digital video processing technologies.

The winner will be announced at the CSI awards ceremony, on Friday September 10th at IBC

We're delighted to be shortlisted for the second year running, said Steve Cliffe, CEO of ProVision. The nomination is testament to ProVision's world leading HD video over wireless technology. We first demonstrated AXAR 1500 in CES in January and the response from cable and satellite operators and set top box manufacturers has been excellent.

The AXAR1500 was also declared 2010's best WiFi multimedia streaming technology by the analyst firm Frost & Sullivan.

ProVision's AXAR1000 system was also shortlisted by the CSI judging panel for 2009's best HDTV technology or project.

Based on standard H.264 video encoders and 802.11n WiFi chipsets AXAR software and antenna technologies are available under license from ProVision. The AXAR 1500 is a single stream, multi-room system, allowing users to view content from DVRs, Blu-ray players and PCs to be viewed on HDTVs, laptops and smartphones in any room across the home.

ProVision also recently demonstrated the AXAR 2010, quad-channel multi-room system at the CableLabs Summer Conference, consolidating its position at the forefront of the multi-room wireless video revolution.
