The new Empower 2074 solid-state high-power amplifier from Link Microtek is capable of delivering a power output of 1000W over the frequency range 100-500MHz, making it ideal for jamming signals in military communications wavebands.
Primarily aimed at EW training applications, the amplifier is lightweight and compact enough to fit in any standard 19in. rack and would typically be mounted inside an aircraft.
This ruggedly constructed amplifier consists of two modules – one for the RF power section and the other accommodating the main power supply and control circuits. It features built-in monitoring and protection functions and also incorporates a forced air cooling system.

Operating from either a 3-phase AC or 28VDC supply, the Empower 2074 utilises high-power push-pull MOSFET technology to provide a gain of 60dB with low distortion at 1000W output power. Touch-screen LCD control is available as an option.

Before being shipped to the customer, each amplifier is fully tested in Link Microtek’s own test laboratory, which is equipped with 3-phase supply and all other necessary facilities.
