The Power Sources Manufacturers Association (PSMA) Nanotechnology Committee is sponsoring an Industry Session at APEC 2012 titled “Nanotechnology: Applications and Constraints for Power Electronics.” The session will take place on Thursday morning, February 9, 2012 at the Coronado Springs Hotel in Disneyworld, Orlando, Florida.
Featured are six invited experts from industry, research and government who will provide attendees with an overview of the current applications and insights that may enable them to anticipate and identify potential opportunities for their companies to participate in markets with this emerging technology. Nanotechnology is already being applied in semiconductors, components, packaging and power storage designs.

Session co-chairs Chuck Mullett, ON Semiconductor and Gerald Castellucci, National Institute of Standards and Technology stated, “This industry session will be very informative and will provide an opportunity for attendees to interact with other professionals who are active in the evolving application of nanotechnology in materials and designs. We encourage people to register for APEC 2012 and to make plans to attend this industry session and to consider participating in the other PSMA-sponsored meetings during the week.”

PSMA is a non-profit professional organization with the objective of enhancing the stature and reputation of its members and their products, and improvement of their technological power sources knowledge. Its aim is to educate the electronics industry, academia, government and industry communities as to the applications and importance of all types of power sources and conversion devices.
