The new Metal Line Catalog provides an overview of the robust and vandal-proof input systems from Schurter. The input systems are subdivided into four product families, allowing the most appropriate solution to be selected according to the specific application requirements: Piezo switches are resistant to dirt and have an extremely long lifetime; Metal switches are vandal-proof and provide tactile input feedback; Piezo keypads are resistant to dirt and fluids, even at temperatures below 0 degrees, as they have a sealed surface; Metal keypads are protected from damage caused by vandalism, and provide a high degree of user comfort.

Possible application areas are outlined in the catalog using precise examples. All the switches are also available with a new method of mounting, namely with snap-in technology. This technology enables quick mounting, and is thus particularly suitable in applications with limited assembly space, or where there is no access to rear side of the operating panel. Blue has been newly selected as the illumination color for the piezo and metal switches.

In order to assist developers and device manufacturers, the Metal Line input systems are listed according to their IP protection classification and according to IK shock protection grades.
