Ineltek UK, the UK and Ireland arm of Germany’s largest independent semiconductor distributor, has unveiled its complete portfolio for supporting the explosion of developments targeting the IoT. The product line-up is built around an impressive range of ARM Cortex MCUs and augmented by an extensive range of peripheral devices for wireless, security, sensing, HMI and electronic infrastructure applications.

Ineltek's portfolio of IoT-targeted products includes Atmel's SAM A5 ARM Cortex-A-based MPU, alongside SAM E, G, L and S MCUs, running on ARM Cortex M7-, -M4, -M0+ and -M7 cores, respectively. Also featured is a range of sensing products, including chemical, optical, position, acceleration and gyroscopic sensors, sensor hubs and sensor front ends, from manufacturers such as Bosch Sensortec, Epson and ams.

TFT LCD displays from 2.2" and electronic paper displays from 1.8" are available, and custom capacitive touch solutions can also be provided. Ineltek provides batteries, including standard Li-coin cells and LiPo-Accumulators from 33 to 2700mAh, customisable upon request. 32kHz quartz crystals, standard RTCs, RTCs with automatic temperature compensation, RTCs with ultra low current consumption and radio receivers for time code are all available as part of Ineltek's timing portfolio.

Ineltek says that it has grown its business rapidly in the UK and Ireland marketplace by enabling customers to develop leading edge products more quickly and cost-efficiently than they could do working alone or with standard distribution support. “We understand that our value lies not just in the products we offer and not just in our technical knowledge of them, but in appreciating their potential for delivering profit to our clients and our expertise in enabling those clients to realise that potential” stated Shaun O'Brien, Technical Director, Ineltek UK.

Ineltek UK’s IoT focus has been developed over a number of years. Key franchised suppliers have developed many products to capitalise on the explosive growth in the connected world and the Ineltek UK team has enhanced this offering further by developing expertise and IP in critical IoT functions, plus the capability to deliver this to customers with a dedicated design services and support team.
