INCHRON GmbH, a leading manufacturer and supplier of design and test solutions for real-time critical software, and IBM have expanded their existing partnership. Under the agreement IBM will be offering the complete range of INCHRON’s tools and services. INCHRON’s products enable designers to model, simulate and analyze the dynamic real-time behaviour of embedded systems at an early stage of the design process.
This cuts development times and costs by up to two thirds. At the same time the quality of the finished products is ensured while expensive warranty claims or even product recalls are avoided.
By integrating INCHRON’s solutions with the IBM Rational software development platform, INCHRON and IBM can offer customers a unique tool suite for the development of embedded systems. The greatest improvements are with regards to model-based development where timing and performance considerations can now be taken into account at a much earlier stage of the development process.
We are delighted that IBM has chosen to take this step with us after thoroughly testing our skills and technologies. This enables us to raise our global sales and marketing activities to much higher levels, comments Uwe Brodtmann, Managing Director of INCHRON GmbH.
INCHRON’s tools enable us to extend our leadership in the provision of solutions for the development of embedded systems, says Meg A. Selfe, VP Complex & Embedded Systems of the Rational Brand at IBM Software Group. “We’re delighted to be working with a market leader in bringing a comprehensive solution to our customers.”
