IAR Systems has been selected by Quake Global, a leading manufacturer of M2M communicators for multiple satellite and terrestrial networks, as the preferred software development environment for the latest QUAKE Satellite Data Modems, Q-Pro and Q4000.
These modems are the industry's first and only available M2M applications which can access multiple satellite and terrestrial networks using a single communications protocol. The modems are used to track, monitor and control industrial assets such as heavy machinery, aviation, maritime, trucking industries, as well as in utility, gas & oil and rail applications.

IAR Systems is excited to work with Quake Global by providing them and their customers with IAR Embedded Workbench®, said Nadim Shehayed, General Manager of IAR Systems US. Our software tool technology combined with outstanding technical support was a key factor for Quake Global's decision. As our C/C++ compiler tools are used in Quake Global's next generation products, we look forward to supporting them in the wireless communications market, he added.

QUAKE has chosen IAR Embedded Workbench for use in internal product as well as customer end application development. QUAKE's embedded software is a very important piece of our satellite transceiver product lines and choosing a very stable, debug-friendly, and easy-to-use IDE is extremely important, said Sergio Ramos, Quake Global's CTO. IAR Embedded Workbench has exactly the blend of features that our engineers were looking for. Based on our team's internal experience, we are also recommending this environment as the tool of choice for our end users' application development needs, he added.
