Whether you like it or not, Christmas is coming. (In 60 days, to be precise, as the sole Electronic Specifier Christmas-lover just delighted in telling me). In preparation of the big day, Open2Europe has compiled a list of five tech gift ideas for Christmas.

Blackberry – KEYone Black Edition
The Black Edition of BlackBerry’s KEYone smartphone, made by TCL Communications, builds on the success of the original silver edition with an improved 4GB of RAM and double the storage at 64GB, plus of course the all-black finish. The rest of what the KEYone Black Edition offers remains the same, with the 4.5" full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset, 12MP rear camera, 8MP front facing camera, Android 7.1 and a 3,505mAh battery. Plus the physical keyboard which has a fingerprint scanner built into the space bar for maximum security and productivity.

Urban Armor Gear – Monarch iPhone X Case
The Urban Armor Gear Monarch in graphite for the iPhone X is quite possibly the most rugged protective case out there, specially designed for Apple’s new flagship phone. With a ten year limited warranty and solidly built to meet or exceed US Military drop-testing standards, the case offers a soft impact-resistant core, a honeycomb traction grip on the edges and a sleek black leather finish. Five layers of protection mean that your £1,000 iPhone X is safe, secure and will look stylish too.

Monarch Series Case for iPhone X is available online in Graphite, Crimson, Black, Platinum, and Carbon Fiber colour ways.

Terraillon – Activi-T Band
Discreetly designed, the Activi-T Band is worn on the wrist and supports its users in all their physical activities to help them accomplish their fitness goals. Thanks to the Wellness Coach application, users can monitor their progress directly on an OLED screen, synchronise their data on the mobile application and share their results on the move.

DOD Tech – LC500S Dash Cam
This high end dash cam from DOD Tech is dual channel with front and rear recording capability. It films at 30fps at a definition of 1,080 pixels and has an expanded ISO range that goes up to 12,800 ISO, and is supposedly the first dash cam in the world to perform at such a standard.

There is WiFi Connectivity which enables you to view footage remotely with the free mobile app, when for example, it is in parking Surveillance Mode. It even has an adjustable circular Polarising filter that reduces reflected light from the inside of the windscreen.

StarTech – USB-C Multiport Laptop Adapter
It features HDMI (with audio) and VGA ports, so you can easily connect a 4K HDMI or a standard-definition VGA monitor, or even a projector to your laptop, suitable for quick setups in conference rooms or boardrooms. Plus, the adapter is bus powered, so there’s no need to carry around a separate bulky power adapter.
