Gigaclear, is on track to celebrate a record year. To date the company has delivered live, gigabit fibre broadband to 10,000 homes and businesses, with nearly 40% of these properties signed up as customers. These live fibre-to-the-premises networks span 36 communities across five counties in the UK.

Gigaclear provides ultrafast broadband networks in rural communities. The pure fibre network, built in parallel to the existing copper network, delivers speeds up to 40 times faster than the UK average today. As a result, homes in the deepest countryside benefit from broadband that’s faster than towns and cities, meaning residents and businesses can thrive whilst enjoying the rural lifestyle, with less commuting and travel but with far better communications capabilities.

Matthew Hare, Chief Executive, Gigaclear, commented: “We have made fantastic progress this year already delivering ultrafast broadband to more than twice the number of properties than we did last year. The additional networks currently in construction, plus our significant pipeline of new networks, clearly demonstrates the huge level of demand in rural areas for the unique service Gigaclear provides. The FTTP technology we deploy is more scalable than any other broadband infrastructure, future proofing these areas of the UK.”

The company, which was founded in 2010 by Chief Executive Matthew Hare, has gone from strength to strength and is predicting further success by the end of 2016.
