Lee and will be presented by Ashraf Lotfi, Ph.D., President, Chief Technical Officer and Founder of Enpirion, on Wednesday, March 7th, at 9.50 a.m. Lotfi will discuss recent advances in monolithic power conversion technologies and the corresponding silicon manufacturing advances which lead to the simultaneous increase in switching frequencies and power density while maintaining efficiencies. Manufacturing deployment is presented along with the full-scale production product attributes possible in this new technology.
Lotfi is a world-renowned expert in power electronics, power management and power technologies. He formulated a vision for a research effort with the ambitious goal of creating the technology pieces needed to provide true power management on a single chip. These efforts combined multiple technology disciplines such as power semiconductor design, RF circuit design, high-speed power topologies, magnetic design and package technology in a highly coordinated development to achieve a commercially viable yet breakthrough technology, which enables high performance in a single chip in an economical manner.
Lotfi has authored a large number of publications and white papers that have appeared in leading journals and at specialized meetings in the field of power. Lotfi is inventor of over 100 issued and pending U.S. patents directly related to power technologies and products. He holds a BS degree with honors from Cairo University, a Ph.D. degree from Virginia Tech and an executive MBA from Northeastern University.
