ributors of the year were selected by readers of Elektronik and the publishing company's website, elektroniknet.de. The survey was conducted in November 2006 with the results announced in July 2007. Products were divided into four segments, including active components, passive components, electromechanical and optoelectronics. Distributors were ranked in the following categories: product portfolio, product availability, delivery service, technical support, and overall impression.
In addition to receiving number one rankings in passive components product portfolio and optoelectronic delivery service categories, Digi-Key received several additional high rankings in the active components, passive components and optoelectronics segments.
We are thrilled to receive these awards, said Mark Larson, Digi-Key's president and COO. Digi-Key's goal is to offer our European customers something unique in the way of service as well as product choice and availability. These awards are proof that our marketing strategies in Germany are working and that German design engineers are discovering Digi-Key's value.
