Switch manufacturer Cherry Electrical Products has signed a distribution deal with Easby Electronics, the specialist stockist and distributor of passive, electromechanical, connector and discrete semiconductor products. The company serves customers across a wide range of industries in the UK and across Europe.
Says Michael Groom, General Manager at Cherry: “We were looking for a distributor who was able to create new business opportunities for us. We are confident that Easby’s 27 years in the business and well-developed customer network will allow us to reach many new clients, especially those requiring non-standard components for specialist applications.”

Easby’s portfolio will now include Cherry’s micro, rocker and Hall Effect switches, including the company’s assemblies (switch, cable and PCB). Says John Hodgetts, Sales Director at Easby: “We are delighted to add such a well-respected brand as Cherry to our franchise portfolio. Now we are able to provide our customers with an even larger range of switch products and a whole new range of value-added products, strengthening Easby’s position in the market.”

An active member of the Association of Franchised Distributors of Electronic Components, Easby Electronics holds stockist agreements for the vast majority of their products and can call on the support of their principles to ensure low prices, delivery and quality for customer applications. The company has two specialist associates in Korea and China who support product sourcing and customers in these areas.
