Expansion of partnership could improve LTE SoCs
CEVA and Spreadtrum Communications announced the expansion of their long-term strategic partnership around Spreadtrum’s advanced LTE SoC smartphone platforms. Spreadtrum’s latest 64-bit Octa-Core LTE SoC platform, the SC9860, integrates multiple CEVA DSPs, performing multiple signal processing workloads, including LTE Cat-7 baseband, audio and voice, sensor fusion and always-on.
The collaboration builds on more than a decade of success between the two companies, with Spreadtrum shipping more than 2 billion feature phone and smartphone chips to-date powered by CEVA DSPs.
