CETECOM has strengthened its EMC test arm. The Essen-based company has acquired the Mitsubishi Electric International Approval Centre (IAC) in Düsseldorf. The deal will enable CETECOM to penetrate new industry segments. “The experience and the reputation of the Mitsubishi Electric IAC perfectly match with CETECOM’s state-of-the-art service standards”, says CETECOM Chief Executive Officer, Wilfried Klassmann.

“Furthermore, IAC’s intensive footprint in markets such as Consumer Electronics, Automotive and Industrial Automation supports CETECOM´s market position and provide various opportunities for further growth.”

As of November 1 the Mitsubishi Electric International Approval Center (IAC) became part of the CETECOM Group and will continue its operation as subsidiary of CETECOM GmbH.

CETECOM’s portfolio includes consulting and training, development of test solutions, validation services, testing in accredited laboratories (LTE, WCDMA, GSM, Application Enabler, Mobile Payment, OTA Performance, and EMC), field trials, battery testing, certification, and approval handling.
