Avalue Technology has acquired 33.33% of Goomedi Laboratories, expecting this to fuel the growth of Avalue’s market share in the healthcare industry. Goomedi Lab., established in 2014, now has 14 employees, among which are mostly R&D engineers and technical engineers. The company has outstanding abilities in designing and developing products as well as manufacturing. The company is certified with several international standards for medical devices, including UL/cUL, IEC/EN 60601-1 3rd edition.

“The global medical displays market was estimated at $0.9bn in 2014, with projected revenue CAGR of 4.5% from 2014 to 2019,” according to IHS TECHNOLOGY Medical Displays Report – 2015. Moreover, the profit of medical display has always been higher than that of consumer displays. This is result not only from the fact that the market has significantly high standards for medical displays in terms of resolution, stability and luminance, but also requires the manufacturers to abide by the standards for producing medical devices. Goomedi Lab., recognised by international standards, together with the ISO 13485 certified Avalue, will be able to create synergy and provide reliable medical solutions to customers.

Goomedi Lab.’s product line, including medical monitors from 19 up to 55”, could be categorised into diagnostic displays, ultrasound displays and surgical displays according to different applications and specifications. The whole product line is compatible with DICOM (Digital Imaging and COmmunications in Medicine) standards, among which the 55” surgical display supports 4K UHD resolution.

Alice Liu, Chairwoman, Avalue Technology, commented: ”Avalue entered the intelligent healthcare industry in 2006 and has since then engaged deeply in the bedside terminal field. For the past few years, the sales revenue of healthcare related products accounts for 24-27% of Avalue’s annual revenue. This strategic alliance will take advantage of Goomedi Lab.’s competences in design and development of medical displays, along with Remedi’s healthcare systems and Bytec’s nursing cart. Through this alliance, we look forward to offering customers with more diverse product line, better healthcare solutions and integrated service and eventually enlarge Avalue’s presence in the smart healthcare market.”
