Sideways 6 helps large organisations to collect, manage and act on employee ideas, insight and feedback. Often called ‘idea management’ or ‘innovation management’, the aim is simple: to help their clients build better companies with happier employees. And now the idea management specialists are launching ‘Architects of Innovation’, a community giving corporate innovation leaders an opportunity to meet, share ideas and showcase some of the disruptive technology revolutionising large enterprises.
‘Architects of Innovation’ was launched over breakfast at FLUX LDN on 12th October 2017 and was attended by 40 of innovation leaders from 25 multinational firms, many of them FTSE 100 or 250 companies.
Sideways 6 Founder, Will Read, said: “One of the most important things the ‘Architects of Innovation’ allows us to do is pool the thinking of business leaders, bringing them together to focus on the aspects of innovation that are key to success.”
Will continued, “Sideways 6 specialises in helping companies innovate and improve their operations through employee engagement. But innovation for innovation’s sake can be costly and no produce the desired results. As this first event highlighted, a lack of a clear idea of why they are investing in innovation can kill the process before it has even begun.”
Will believes this networking approach can have a positive impact on not just the attending enterprises, but also the business world beyond.
He said: “The ‘Architects of Innovation’ community is made up of the leaders in their sectors, at the forefront of innovation. By encouraging them to share ideas and approaches to innovation, we at Sideways 6 believe we can create a stronger culture and better understanding of innovation in the wider business world.”
This ‘Architects of Innovation’ event is the first of many, with subsequent meetings to be held every quarter, to keep their clients and other interested parties abreast of the latest thinking and approaches available within the innovation space.
