Electronic Specifier has recently been in discussion with Anritsu about the company’s new developments dedicated to the automotive market. Among them are fixed attenuators, power splitters, dividers, directional couplers, and spectrum analysers.

Recently Anritsu released a range of high frequency RF components, 41 and 43 series, gold line and silver line attenuators respectively. A key application for these products is automotive RADAR. For example, a 41W precision fixed attenuator, that covers frequencies up to 110GHz. This attenuator has W1 connectors that are compatible with 1.00mm interfaces that can support precision measurements. This coaxial attenuator is designed for multiple levels of attenuation in asingle package.

The W241A precision power splitter operates in awide range of frequencies from DC up to 110GHz, having input power up to 1W. It hasasymmetrical three resistor design, hascoaxial geometry, and equally dividesorientation-specific signals. This power splitter is characterised with the flatness and effective Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR).

Another component is the W241A precision power splitter that operates in a frequency range up to 110GHz. It has a symmetrical three-resistor design, that equally divides and combines signals, and has W1 connectors, that are compatible with 1mm connectors. The MN25110A directional coupler is designed to support measurement applications. It has W1 connectors that reach very low broadband insertion loss and very small reflections. They can be used  for on-wafer characterisation  and measuremets. All these components are metrology-grade solutions,  and are tested in accordance to MIL-STD-202F environmental ratings.

Six months ago Anrtisu released the MS2760A spectrum analyser, a small USB connector version that operates in a frequency range from 9kHz up to 110GHz. This spectrum analyser can also be used in automotive RADAR applications and is also well suited for making measurements for 5G, 802.11ad, E-band microwave radio and satellite communications. Due to its geometrical characteristics it can be used everywhere from laboratory to the field.

Another product of the Anritsu range is the MS46524B  VNA (vector network analyser) – a 4-port performance analyser suitable for a wide range of applications, due to the wide range of operation frequencies up to 43.5GHz. This analyser supports several options, that gives a great flexibility for applications from testing the general purpose devices to the automotive, mobile and wireless applications. The MS46524B has additional hardware options allowing user to customise test setups.
