NMI, the UK electronic systems trade body, has announced that journalist and BBC Breakfast presenter Bill Turnbull will host its annual gala dinner and awards night as the organisation celebrates 10 years of running the event. Tickets are now available and the event is open to all organisations involved with the UK electronic systems community, from chip manufacturers to software and designers, to government bodies and research organisations.
The night celebrates organisations, individuals and practices that are conducive to a healthy and vibrant industry.

The black-tie awards gala and dinner will take place on the 15th of November at the prestigious central London hotel, the Radisson Blu Portman. It follows the NMI’s annual industry summit, which will have a focus on the future with key themes including the ESCO report, power electronics and skills.

“A lot has changed for the industry in the past 10 years and there is now, more than ever, a need to build strong communities across the diverse array of industry sectors that rely on the UK’s electronic systems expertise,” said Derek Boyd, CEO of NMI. “There’s a lot to celebrate, from strengthened links with government to UK growth in key market sectors such as automotive and power electronics.”
