Sarantel Group PLC, a leading manufacturer of high-performance, miniature filtering antennas for mobile and wireless devices, announces the first production orders for its Iridium data antenna, for use in the Solara Field Tracker 2100.

The Solara Field Tracker 2100 is a real-time GPS tracking and user messaging device that ensures two-way contact, security and peace of mind for field personnel working in remote or harsh locations. It uses the Iridium satellite system to ensure the successful transmission of messages. Tom Tessier, President of Solara Remote Data Delivery, said: “The Sarantel antenna provides us with a solution to meet the challenges of this market. Compared with other antennas, the Sarantel antenna’s high performance and size made it the only choice.” DavidWither, CEO of Sarantel, said: “Because of its small size and high performance, our antenna is well suited to the Iridium handheld data market and we are delighted to announce its integration into the Solara Field Tracker 2100.”
