Verigy has received two awards – in 10 BEST Large Chip Equipment Suppliers and THE BEST Test Equipment categories – from the 2010 Customer Satisfaction Survey conducted by VLSI Research Inc., a leading research and analysis firm covering the semiconductor industry.
Integrated device manufacturers (IDMs), foundries and test houses rated Verigy first among the world’s test equipment suppliers in customer satisfaction. They also ranked Verigy third among all large suppliers of chip-making equipment, regardless of market segment, making Verigy the top test equipment company in this broad category.

This marks the fifth consecutive year in which Verigy has ranked among VLSI Research’s 10 BEST test equipment companies, and the second year in a row that Verigy has received the number one rating among ATE suppliers.

“These awards show the results of Verigy’s company-wide commitment to deliver and support the very best in IC testing capabilities,” said Keith Barnes, chairman, CEO and president of Verigy. “We are honored to be recognized for our efforts and ranked so highly by our customers.”

“Verigy excelled by earning the top grade in 11 of the 13 categories in our customer satisfaction survey,” said G. Dan Hutcheson, CEO of VLSI Research. “No other ATE company received that level of recognition from this year’s survey respondents. We congratulate Verigy on their outstanding customer-satisfaction efforts and dedication to excellence.”

VLSI Research’s annual Customer Satisfaction Survey on Chip Making Equipment is the only publicly available opportunity for chip manufacturers to provide feedback on their suppliers. The 10 BEST rankings award special recognition to the suppliers that are rated highest by their customers. The results for the 2010 rankings are based on the survey conducted in early 2010, and were drawn from a global distribution of 34,238 questionnaires. According to VLSI Research, the companies that responded to the customer satisfaction survey represented 95 percent of worldwide chip production.
