SMH Technologies and Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today announced the release of the FlashRunner 3070A (FR3070A) programming board for the Agilent Medalist In-Circuit Test Utility Card of the i3070 Series 5 in-circuit tester.
The FR3070A, the latest in SMH's FlashRunner family of in-system flash programmers, was designed specifically to be mounted on the Agilent Utility Card.

Up to three FR3070A modules can be fitted on the Utility Card, which communicates with the host system via USB or Ethernet.

The FR3070A currently supports over 3,000 microcontrollers and serial memories from the most popular silicon manufacturers (Atmel, Catalyst, Cypress, Freescale, Fujitsu, Infineon, Microchip, NXP, Renesas, Rohm, Silicon Labs, SST, STMicroelectronics, Texas Instruments) and, thanks to its flexible architecture, is ready to support other architectures.

This partnership will offer Agilent and SMH mutual benefits, said Claudio Stefani, chief executive officer of SMH Technologies. Integrating FlashRunner technology into Agilent systems will provide an additional value to Agilent's In-Circuit Testing. We are proud that a recognized world leader in testing technologies chose FlashRunner as a professional solution for its customers' programming needs.

We are delighted that SMH Technologies has launched the FR3070A, said Adrian Cheong, i3070 product manager of Agilent's Measurement Systems Division. The programming board can be installed on the Agilent Utility Card to enable additional in-system serial programming capability on the industry-leading i3070 Series 5.
