Gap analysis service speeds time to market
Vector Software’s Global Services Group is now offering gap analysis audit services to address the problem of “gaps” that appear between the current development process, and what organisations require to optimally develop software. In as little as two weeks, embedded software engineers apply their deep domain expertise and uncover gaps in the software development process — enabling organisations to accelerate certification time, and speed time-to-market while trimming development costs.
The gap analysis audit focuses on finding shortfalls in an organisation’s requirements, design, code, test, quality assurance and configuration management processes. In addition, the report assesses shortfalls between current compliance requirements and those required by DO-178B/C, DO-254, ARP-4754A, IEC 61508, FDA PMA and 510(k), and ISO 26262 standards.
As a result of collecting this data, the Global Services Group provides companies with a cost estimate for closing each of the identified gaps, and identifies the top twenty risks organizations face as a result of gaps, and how to mitigate each one. All improvement recommendations are based upon best-practices within comparable software development organisations.
