ETAS Test Operations Services is a new operation offering test specification, implementation, execution, analysis and reporting services for embedded systems in the automotive and commercial vehicle industries. Embedded software drives innovation. Growing complexity in automotive embedded systems requires a huge number of elaborate testing and significant test engineering effort, especially for operational testing.

As a result, testing can account for over 50 percent of a system’s development costs. ETAS Test Operations completes the existing services capabilities for Test Process and Infrastructure Development as well as Verification and Validation Strategy Development to build an end-to-end offering for manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers.

ETAS testing services enable efficient test development and execution management, providing independent quality assurance. With the addition of Test Operations, ETAS offers its customers a broader services portfolio and more flexible engagement models, from executing test operations fully independent of internal development teams up to providing on-site resources to directly supplement a customer’s existing team.

Mike Badalament, Vice President Engineering and Consulting Services at ETAS GmbH: “Optimizing test and validation is a multi-dimensional challenge. Key to achieving efficiency and reliable results is not only having the right test system–but also the right people, processes, methods, and test execution. We are pleased to extend our services offering and look forward to supporting our customers also in the area of Test Operations to help enable more efficiency, speed, and quality assurance in test and validation.”

Together with group partner RBEI, Robert Bosch Engineering India, ETAS is leveraging the group´s worldwide know-how in automotive embedded system verification and validation. The company can build on a workforce of over 600 test engineers with system and test engineering know-how in powertrain, chassis, body, infotainment, and E/E network integration.
