Alpha Electronics, nationwide distributor of handheld and portable electrical and electronic test equipment, offers a range of LeCroy digital oscilloscopes direct from stock. Designed for bench use, but compact and readily portable, the LeCroy oscilloscopes are available in models ranging from entry-level to high-end, with very clear, bright colour screens and excellent long-term memories. Alpha Electronics has the technically qualified personnel to provide advice to its customers on the best product for their needs.

Examples of LeCroy products offered by Alpha Electronics are the latest, entry-level, low-cost WaveAce Series oscilloscopes which offer a long memory, extensive measurement capabilities and advanced triggering to improve troubleshooting and shorten debug time. With a 5.7 display, they are available in a range of bandwidths from 60MHz to 300MHz, sampling rates up to 2GS/s, automatic measurement parameters, Pass/Fail test and all with multiple triggering capabilities and PC connectivity via a USB port.
The latest LeCroy WaveJet 300A Series oscilloscopes have a larger 7.5 display, extend the capabilities with bandwidths up to 500MHz, offer 2/4 input channels, a very high 500kpts/Ch memory and optional Ethernet connectivity.

The higher-end LeCroy WaveSurfer Xs-A Series, with bandwidths up to 1GHz and sampling rates up to 5GS/s, offer advanced features such as WaveStream™ fast viewing mode to closely simulate the look and feel of an analogue oscilloscope, and WaveScan™, an advanced search feature which allows searching in a single acquisition using more than 20 different modes. The 10.4 800 x 600 SVGA touch-screen display offers very large, sharp images and an easy-to-use interface which enables fast set-up of triggers, maths functions and measurement parameters. However it has just a 6 deep footprint, thus freeing up valuable bench space. Optional serial data trigger and decode tools are available for debugging, for example, CAN-bus, UART and RS232 systems.

Alpha Electronics can demonstrate the products and provide a full technical back-up and after sales service. Alpha Electronics also runs a comprehensive hire service for many of its products, a ‘collect-and-return’ calibration and repair service, and training services. The company has recently integrated all its southern operations into new, enlarged premises in Maidstone, Kent, to cope with an expanding workload. It also has premises at Atherton, Greater Manchester, and in Newport, South Wales (The Instrument Centre).
