electronica 2014: Keysight prepares test solutions range
Keysight Technologies is preparing an innovative and diverse range of electronic test solutions for visitors to electronica in Munich (Nov 11-14).These include a broad range of the most recent basic and general purpose instruments that span DC to RF, such as DMMs, frequency counters, audio analysers, signal generators and new mid-range oscilloscopes, the S-Series and InfiniiVision 6000-X.
USB power testers meet FSK and Baseband variants
The Packet-Master USB-PDA and Packet-Master USB-PDA-E are claimed to be the world's first dedicated USB Power Delivery Analysers and Exercisers. Each is supplied with a PC-based Windows application called GraphicUSB for capturing and displaying PD interactions. “USB Power Delivery” is a specification allowing USB to provide power in a more flexible and adaptable way.
Miniature attenuators cover frequencies up to 26.5GHz
A new range of high-performance miniature variable attenuators covering microwave frequencies up to 26.5GHz has been introduced by Link Microtek. Manufactured by Narda Microwave-East, an L3 Communications company, the variable attenuators are suitable for use in a variety of military and commercial applications, including communications, test, radar and electronic-warfare systems.
Microwave test system gets frequency upgrade
Aeroflex has released a 26.5 GHz high-frequency extension for the 7700 Integrated Microwave Test System. The extension increases the frequency coverage from 6 GHz to 26.5 GHz, to address the need for a compact, economical, high-frequency bench-top microwave test system.
RF power amp reference solution includes envelop tracking
A new PXI Reference Solution for RF power amplifier (PA) characterisation and test has been released by Keysight Technologies. The Reference Solution, which performs S-parameter, harmonic distortion, power and demodulation measurements, enables rapid, full characterisation of next-generation power amplifier modules, such as a power amplifier-duplexer (PAD).
Powerful debug tools upgrade touch screen oscilloscope
Teledyne LeCroy has introduced a touch screen as well as powerful debug tools and advanced triggering with the WaveJet Touch oscilloscope, claiming an unprecedented combination of performance and price.Built on the WaveJet 300 oscilloscope platform, the WaveJet Touch is available in two models with 350 MHz or 500 MHz bandwidth, four channels, up to 5 Mpts of memory at 2 GS/s, and a 7.5in touch screen display.
Combo-system for wire bond inspection exceeds expectations
Power module manufacturer Danfoss Silicon Power has supplemented its existing Viscom X8051 with additional X7056BO combo-systems for wire bond inspection. Using the recognition of bond feet to analyse how the wire must lie, the X7056BO inspects the path of the wire in wire bond connections with AOI. Boasting reduced acquisition costs, low false alarm rates and a high productivity, Danfloss currently has four X7056BO systems.
Entry-level oscilloscopes cover 50MHz to 100MHz bandwidth
Mixed signal oscilloscopes that can measure analogue and digital signals simultaneously in the three figure price segment have been developed by Rohde & Schwarz subsidiary HAMEG Instruments. The instruments can be expanded at any time from 50 MHz to 70 MHz or even 100 MHz bandwidth by means of a simple upgrade option.
32-channel synchronisation upgrades signal quality analyser
Anritsu has upgraded its MP1800A Signal Quality Analyser by adding a 32-channel synchronisation function for 32 Gbit/s data signals. The new function enables the configuration of highly accurate test systems for the measurement of the next generation of ultra-fast communications technologies operating at speeds of 400 Gbit/s and 1 Tbit/s.
Arbitrary waveform generator targets digital, RF applications
A high-speed, wide-bandwidth M8195A arbitrary waveform generator that allows engineers to generate digital, multilevel (e.g. PAM4, MIPI C-PHY) signal scenarios and test their electrical and optical links with complex modulated signals up to 32 GBaud and beyond has been unveiled by Keysight Technologies.
