RF power amp reference solution includes envelop tracking
A new PXI Reference Solution for RF power amplifier (PA) characterisation and test has been released by Keysight Technologies. The Reference Solution, which performs S-parameter, harmonic distortion, power and demodulation measurements, enables rapid, full characterisation of next-generation power amplifier modules, such as a power amplifier-duplexer (PAD).
Powerful debug tools upgrade touch screen oscilloscope
Teledyne LeCroy has introduced a touch screen as well as powerful debug tools and advanced triggering with the WaveJet Touch oscilloscope, claiming an unprecedented combination of performance and price.Built on the WaveJet 300 oscilloscope platform, the WaveJet Touch is available in two models with 350 MHz or 500 MHz bandwidth, four channels, up to 5 Mpts of memory at 2 GS/s, and a 7.5in touch screen display.
Combo-system for wire bond inspection exceeds expectations
Power module manufacturer Danfoss Silicon Power has supplemented its existing Viscom X8051 with additional X7056BO combo-systems for wire bond inspection. Using the recognition of bond feet to analyse how the wire must lie, the X7056BO inspects the path of the wire in wire bond connections with AOI. Boasting reduced acquisition costs, low false alarm rates and a high productivity, Danfloss currently has four X7056BO systems.
Entry-level oscilloscopes cover 50MHz to 100MHz bandwidth
Mixed signal oscilloscopes that can measure analogue and digital signals simultaneously in the three figure price segment have been developed by Rohde & Schwarz subsidiary HAMEG Instruments. The instruments can be expanded at any time from 50 MHz to 70 MHz or even 100 MHz bandwidth by means of a simple upgrade option.
32-channel synchronisation upgrades signal quality analyser
Anritsu has upgraded its MP1800A Signal Quality Analyser by adding a 32-channel synchronisation function for 32 Gbit/s data signals. The new function enables the configuration of highly accurate test systems for the measurement of the next generation of ultra-fast communications technologies operating at speeds of 400 Gbit/s and 1 Tbit/s.
Arbitrary waveform generator targets digital, RF applications
A high-speed, wide-bandwidth M8195A arbitrary waveform generator that allows engineers to generate digital, multilevel (e.g. PAM4, MIPI C-PHY) signal scenarios and test their electrical and optical links with complex modulated signals up to 32 GBaud and beyond has been unveiled by Keysight Technologies.
e-book digs deep into I2C testing
A new eBook explains how the circuit board design validation process can be accelerated by performing at-speed functional tests on the Inter-Integrated Circuit (I2C) bus interfaces on prototype boards before their operating software is available. The test strategy involves temporarily inserting embedded instrumentation intellectual property into an on-board field programmable gate array (FPGA) and applying boundary-scan or JTAG tests to verify st...
Handheld analysers embrace satellite maintenance
A solution that provides satellite ground station maintenance in the aerospace/defense and commercial markets is how Keysight Technologies describes its FieldFox handheld combination analysers. The analysers offer the precision, frequency coverage (up to 26.5 GHz), and all-in-one capability (e.g., spectrum analyser, full 2-port vector network analyser and power meter) needed to perform a range of benchtop-quality measurements in difficult test en...
VNA enables uni- and bidirectional measurements
Production line measurements such as characterisation of passive mobile components are a target application for the R&S ZND vector network analyser from Rohde & Schwarz. It features two test ports, and the base unit is designed for unidirectional measurements from 100 kHz to 4.5 GHz. Its easy-to-use options provide for flexible upgrades.
Embedded controller operates at 3.4GHz clock frequency
The IEEE Autotest 2014 exhibition will be the launch pad for ADLINK Technology’s PXIe-3985, its highest performing 3U PXI Express (PXIe) embedded controller, equipped with the quad-core 4th generation Intel Core i7-4700EQ processor and operating at up to 3.4 GHz clock frequency (in single-core Turbo Boost Mode).
