Inspector detects dust, microscopic fibres & microbes
For applications with an increased demand for cleanliness, EVT has developed the Particle Inspector. Applications range from production in microelectronics and precision engineering to life sciences and healthcare.
Digital oscilloscope features MAUI touch screen
The WaveSurfer 10 digital oscilloscope is the newest addition to Amplicon’s test and measurement portfolio. The instrument has a debug toolkit enabling complex analysis with minimal time and effort. The oscilloscope matches the performance of many higher-end oscilloscopes with a 1GHz bandwidth, 10GSa/s sampling rate and 10Mpts/ch memory depth.
PAM-4 solutions boost BERT's performance
PAM-4 measurement solutions with support for PAM-4 data formats and built-in error counters have been added to Keysight Technologies M8000 Series BER test solutions. PAM-4 support and the ability to integrate a device’s built-in error counter helps R&D and test engineers characterise and test high-speed digital receivers for the data-centre networking, storage and computer industries.
Symbolic layer added to CAN and CAN FD solutions
Symbolic (Application) layer analysis capabilities have been added to Teledyne LeCroy’s CAN and CAN FD serial trigger, decode, measurement, and graphing solutions. The new CAN and CAN FD Symbolic analysis packages allow a user-defined .dbc file to be used for Symbolic triggering, decoding, measurements, and graphing of a CAN or CAN FD bus.
e-Book explains faster flash programming
New faster methods for the in-system programming of onboard flash as well as I2C and SPI memory are explained in a new eBook published by ASSET InterTech. In-system programming has many advantages over standalone programming stations, but, until now, its programming speed has presented a challenge for design and production engineers.
Find & fix critical quality and security issues
Expanding the company's security testing capabilities, Synopsys has announced the latest release of the Coverity Software Testing Platform. An integrated suite of testing solutions that enables organisations to find and fix critical quality and security issues earlier in the software development lifecycle, Coverity 7.7 adds coverage for JavaScript and Objective-C.
Enhanced thermal imagers operate at high temperature
Two higher temperature models have been added to the Keysight Technologies thermal imagers portfolio. The U5856A and U5857A can perform temperature measurements up to 650 and 1200°C respectively. This allows users to detect a wide temperature range for various applications such as petrochemical and steel processing, electrical and mechanical applications, building maintenance and even electronics applications.
Handbook explores digitiser concepts
To keep engineers and scientists up to date with the latest developments in PC based digitiser technology, Spectrum has published a handbook that covers the major product features of this powerful class of instrument and also explains when a digitiser can replace an oscilloscope. The 120 page booklet is printed in full colour and includes a number of graphical images that highlight and explain key digitiser concepts and their application.
EMC measurement portfolio showcased at EMC 2015
At EMC 2015 in Dresden, Rohde & Schwarz will demonstrate its expertise in ElectroMagnetic Compatibility (EMC) measurements. The company’s portfolio includes EMI test receivers and precompliance test receivers, highly sophisticated, harmonised system solutions, as well as the appropriate test and analysis software and broadband amplifiers.
Validate conformance test case for RCS 5.1
Rohde & Schwarz has validated the first conformance test case described in work item 186 for the IMS-based Rich Communication Suite 5.1 (RCS 5.1). Validation of the test case was carried out as part of the GCF Conformance and Interoperability Agreement Group Meeting #43 in Malaga. RCS is based on the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) platform and supports functions including instant messaging, presence and multimedia content sharing during a vide...
