RF measurement option speeds up field testing
A CPRI RF Measurement option for its BTS Master handheld base station analyser family has been introduced by Anritsu. It can reduce the operational expense (OpEx) associated with troubleshooting interference at base stations. The BTS Master-based CPRI RF measurement test set allows field engineers and technicians to conduct accurate RF measurements on Remote Radio Heads (RRHs) while remaining at ground level.
Interference monitor helps maximise network capacity
The introduction of its Remote Spectrum Monitor ushers in a new era of field wireless testing, claims Anritsu. Designed without a display or keyboard, Remote Spectrum Monitor automates the method of conducting radio surveillance, interference detection, and government spectrum policy enforcement while bringing greater flexibilities and cost efficiencies to network management.
Software option addresses wireless power transfer applications
A wireless power transfer analysis option has been introduced by Keysight Technologies for its E5072A, E5061B and E5063A series network analysers. With this software option, the ENA Series network analysers are now able to effectively address the needs of emerging wireless power transfer (WPT) markets.
Arbitrary waveform generator enables multi-level signal scenarios
A 92GSa/s, 32GHz modular instrument has been added to its portfolio of arbitrary waveform generators by Keysight Technologies. The high-speed, wide-bandwidth M8196A arbitrary waveform generator allows engineers to generate digital, multi-level (e.g., PAM-4, PAM-8, DMT) signal scenarios at 8 bits vertical resolution and test their electrical and optical links with complex modulated signals up to 64GBaud.
eCall test solution makes Berlin debut
“eCall Days” in Berlin (September 23-24) is Germany's largest conference for the eCall system that will be introduced in motor vehicles throughout Europe in 2018. All key players from the European Commission, politics and industry will meet there. Rohde & Schwarz will take the opportunity to show its eCall/ERA-Glonass test solution for the first time in Berlin.
Network analyser options aid passive component makers
Five new frequency options have been added to Keysight Technologies’ E5063A ENA Series network analyser. The analyser also has a new staring price of $10,000. The new options and price, offer at balance between price and performance. This allows passive component manufacturers to satisfy business and technical requirements.
Mobile test solution goes portable
Enhanced Drive Testing features have been added to GL Communications’ Wireless Quality Testing Product Suite. The Wireless-Drive test solution includes all the necessary functionalities within portable equipment for a true mobile test. The mobile device under test can be in your pocket, in your car, in a train, or virtually anywhere while tests are automatically executed in an automated fashion.
Embedded system access theme prepared for UK show
A portfolio of technologies for testing, programming, validation, and functional verification at chip, board, and system level, under the umbrella of Embedded System Access (ESA) is being presented by Goepel electronics at the Electronics Design Show in Coventry (October 21-22). Visitors can find out all about the possibilities of JTAG/Boundary Scan.
SPI system decreases solder defects
Inovar has announced that it recently purchased and installed four MS-11 Solder Paste Inspection (SPI) systems from MIRTEC. The SPI systems currently are in use at Inovar on its three production lines as well as its prototype line. The MS-11 systems are configured with MIRTEC’s exclusive 15MP CoaXPress Vision System, providing enhanced image quality, superior accuracy and incredibly fast inspection rates.
Software, hardware solutions prepared for ECOC show
Test and measurement solutions developed to advance the design and manufacturing of communications equipment beyond 400Gb/s, from components through the data centres to telecom providers will be showcased by Keysight Technologies at ECOC 2015 in Valencia, (Sept. 28-30). Keysight’s new solutions are intended to enable the development of next-generation networks used for the generation and analysis of coherent optical modulated signals. &nbs...
