DMR repeater test options enhanced
A DMR Repeater Test Option has been released by Cobham for its 8800 Series Digital Radio Test Set. This option enables the 8800 Series to test the transmitter and receiver of a DMR repeater base station. The 8800 Series is able to generate the signalling protocol that is necessary to “wake-up” the DMR repeater and cause it to start transmitting.
Energy recovery helps return power to its source
In the latest addition to its power system automatic test equipment (ATE), Intepro has announced the release of the ELR 5000 modular, programmable DC load. Housed in a 6U, 19” rack enclosure, the ELR 5000 can accommodate up to ten completely self-contained, fully programmable DC load modules with 320W nominal power each.
3D AOI at NEPCON China
CyberOptics will exhibit with Kasion Automation Ltd. (KAL) at NEPCON China and will demonstrate the new SQ30003D Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) system. The system is said to maximize ROI and line utilization with multi-view 3D sensors that capture and transmit data simultaneously, and in parallel, accelerating 3D inspection speed versus alternate technology.
Scienscope to launch X-ray component counter at NEPCON China
Scienscope International will exhibit at NEPCON China. Scienscope will showcase the new AXI5100c X-ray Component Counter for the first time in Asia along with some of its flagship AXI products including the View-X 1800 (X-SCOPE 1800), X-spection 6000 and AXI-8000.
Lab solution targets 100G test
Citing a goal to help Network Solution Vendors (NSV) innovate faster and test more efficiently EXFO has launched a new lab solution, the LTB-8 Rackmount Platform, the FTBx-88200NGE Power Blazer 100G Multiservice Test Module, and the web-based multi-user interface, EXFO MultiLink.
Microfluidic devices rotate small organisms and cells
A method to rotate single particles, cells or organisms using acoustic waves in a microfluidic device will allow researchers to take three dimensional images with only a cell phone. Acoustic waves can move and position biological specimens along the x, y and z axes, but for the first time researchers at Penn State have used them to gently and safely rotate samples, a crucial capability in single-cell analysis, drug discovery and organism studies.
Digital radio test set gets manufacturer's thumbs up
The 8800SX Digital Radio Test Set for testing Land Mobile Radio systems has been introduced by Cobham. It features new software for testing a wide variety of Motorola and other OEM radio systems and also features a new external 10MHz reference designed to ensure that Land Mobile Radio end users have the best equipment to ensure their radio equipment is operating at the highest standard.
Tuneable laser sources test data centre devices
An extra high power tuneable laser the 81602A has been launched by Keysight Technologies. It eases tolerance for power budgets in test setups and speeds fibre or probe alignment by getting first light faster. Keysight also introduced new wavelengths for its recently released 8160xA family of tunable laser modules for the 8164Blightwave measurement system.
