The Sensel Morph, which is powered by patented Pressure Grid technology, offers a new generation of multi-touch interaction in the form of an input device that allows people to interact with computers and programmes in a whole new way. With its high dynamic range of force sensitivity, the Morph can detect not just fingers but any object, from a paintbrush to a drumstick.

The Morph works out of the box with many applications and is hackable for those more technically-inclined. It can connect to a computer via USB, to an iPad via Bluetooth, or to an Arduino via developer cables.

The mission of Sensel from the start was to address the mismatch between the expressive capabilities of hands and the restrictive interfaces of today’s devices. It wanted to enable new ways of interaction with digital devices and allow Morph users to unleash new possibilities in the worlds of music, art and gaming.

Users can use various overlays, all which are automatically detected, for each supported use case. The overlays are optional 'physical apps' made of a thin, flexible layer that the user can place over the device to provide a visual 'map' and tactile feedback for each mode’s unique functionality. These overlays include a keyboard, a piano, a music production controller, a gaming overlay, a drum pad and an art overlay.
