Rogers Corp. to Showcase New RO4230™ High Frequency Circuit Material at Antenna Systems Show ‘06

News Release from: Rogers Corporation
31/07/2006

Rogers Corporation will be introducing its RO4230™ high frequency circuit material at this year's Antenna Systems Show.

RO4230 circuit material extends the capabilities of the successful RO4000® product series into antenna applications. This ceramic filled, glass reinforced hydrocarbon based material provides the controlled dielectric constant, low loss performance and excellent passive intermodulation (PIM) response required for mobile infrastructure microstrip antenna uses.

Further, the material is halogen free and meets the worldwide “green” standards. As with all RO4000® high frequency laminates, RO4230 laminate processes similar to FR4 and does not require special treatment needed on PTFE-based laminates for plated through hole preparation. Its features include:

· Excellent PIM response
· Higher thermal conductivity for high power applications
· Non-PTFE
· Excellent high frequency performance due to low dielectric tolerance and loss
· Low thermal coefficient of dielectric constant
· Low in-plane expansion coefficient

Typical applications may include cellular infrastructure base station antennas, satellite radio antennas, and WiMAX base station antennas.
