Compact Storage & EMC Chokes Now Go Up To 60 AMPS
Almag have extended their Type WH Hi-Performance range of compact toroidal storage and differential suppression chokes, with new types now going up to 60 amps rating. These chokes truly do pack a quart into a pint pot, with twice the inductance of conventional chokes. This also gives the opportunity to increase power supply efficiency by using a smaller, lower resistance choke. Added to this, the option of vertical mounting many types on standard pinned bases means that board area can be minimised at the same time.
With 157 inductor designs in 13 package sizes, the inductors offer current ratings from 0.5A up to 60A in 32 steps, with inductances up to 12mH.
Applications include active PFC correction, power supply output chokes, lighting, motor drives, ballasts and general EMC filtering.
