A series of turnkey, DC/AC pure sine wave inverter systems has been introduced by Schaefer. According to the company, the Series IT of 'built-to-project' inverters offer the industry's most complete range of input and output voltages, with a power range from 6 to 90kVA. Available in a range of styles and mounting configurations, the more advanced models in the series feature an integrated UPS, static switch, battery charging and/or parallel capabilities.

Using a switch mode inverter with a rectifier at the input and a transformer at the output, the inverter systems are fully isolated. The series features continuous short-circuit protection, automatic restart after over-voltage shutdown and surge capabilities. Users also have the option to customise systems to include remote on/off via various inhibit configurations, input inrush and surge protection, mains synchronisation, input reverse polarity protection and output voltage adjustment potentiometer. Other options include output voltage and frequency monitoring, increased mechanical strength, tropical (conformal coating) protection, parallel and redundant operation.

Available for 40V DC+ and single or 3 phase AC inputs, the inverter systems are suitable for 600-750VDC nominal bus. The systems are offered as a complete system, which includes a cabinet, front panel meters, breakers, switches, and ventilation with or without temperature controlled fans, or as a standalone inverter. The systems are suitable for power sub-stations, emergency lighting and other backup systems.
