PREMO enhances its current sensors product range with the newest HCT-1000-SH series, a high current Closed Loop Hall Effect Sensor. New market trends are going to the high current and high frequency devices, making a must to test and measure with excellent accuracy current levels up to 1000 Amps with any type of waveform (DC, AC, pulse, etc.).

By means of close loop solution the high accuracy and linearity is guaranteed keeping values as low as 0.1%. The current sensor allows overload capabilities with a measuring range up to ± 3000 Amps.

The HCT-1000-SH current sensor has been designed in order to meet the highest safety requirements and is fully isolated with plastic housing, meeting isolation values higher than 4000 Vac.

An intelligent electronics allow supplying the sensor either with ±15 Vdc or ± 24 Vdc which make it much easier for design engineers.

Advantages and main characteristics:
• Excellent accuracy ± 0.1%
• Very good linearity ± 0.1%
• Compact size: 100x70x110 mm
• Nominal current = 1000 Amps
• Measuring current = ± 3000 Amps
• Transformation ratio 1:5000
• Supply voltage = ± 15-24 Vdc
• Isolation > 4000 Vac
• Outputs with Blade connectors

With an operating temperature range of -40 to +85ºC, these sensors are particularly suitable for AC variable speed drives and servo motor drives, battery supplied, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), static converters for DC motor drives, switched Mode Power Supplies (SMPS), and power supplies for welding applications.
