Power supply series achieves IEC 60601 MOOP
The MVAB120 series of single output, 120W AC/DC power supplies has achieved compliance with the 3rd edition of the EN/UL/IEC60601 and ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1 3rd edition MOOP medical safety standard. The Series, from Murata, can now be used for any non-patient-contact medical application.
Measuring just 101.6 x 50.8 x 35.8 mm, the open frame series satisfies the 1U height constraints of this industry standard footprint. Typically at 91%, the high efficiency ensures that waste heat is kept to a minimum, with the units capable of delivering up to 75W using convection cooling only. Just 250LFM forced airflow is required for the supply to operate at the 120W full load output.
Comprising of 5 single output models, the series covers the popular nominal outputs from 12 to 48VDC. Accommodating the full universal range of input voltages, from 90 - 264VAC, the MVAB120 also meets the EU PFC directive for active power factor correction. The series can deliver full load from -10 to + 50°C, and are capable of start-up from temperatures as low as -20°C. This makes the series suitable for most operating environments. Output protection features include overcurrent, overvoltage and overtemperature.
