Two medical-certified power supply series, the RACM40 and RACM65, are available from Recom.

They offer 40 and 65W of power and are in compact, open-frame or a semi-enclosed case. All modules are double-reinforced for maximum patient protection (2xMOPP).

The supplies both operate with 85 to 264V AC Vin and 5.0, 12, 15, 24 and 48V DC trimmable output voltages. All models feature efficiencies up to 93.5%, require no minimum load and can be used at altitudes up to 5000m between -40 and +85°C.

The fully-regulated output voltages have tolerances of less than ±0.2% over the entire input voltage range and less than ±0.5% over the entire load range. The space-saving 3.0 x 2.0inch modules offer 4kV AC reinforced isolation between input and output, 2.5kV AC between output and case. As well as meeting the requirements for medical applications with patient contact (2xMOPP at 250V AC working voltage, 8mm creepage and clearance), the modules are approved to medical safety standard IEC/ES/EN-60601-1 3rd Edition and feature BF-rated outputs with less than 75µA leakage current. All models have a built-in Class B EMI filter and come with five-year warranty.
