Power supplies target harsh environments
Designed for use in harsh environments, the HEP-100, 150 and 185 series of AC/DC power supplies has been introduced by Mean Well. Providing 100, 150 and 185W of power, the devices feature an aluminium case and are fully potted with a heat-conducted silicone.
For use in harsh environments, the power supplies are offered with IP65 high level protection against the ingress of dust and water and an anti-vibration capability of up to 10G. The devices operate across a temperature range of -55 and +70℃ and have an efficiency of up to 94%.
The HEP-100/150/185 power supplies accept a 90-305 VAC full input range and are available in output voltages of 12, 15, 24, 36, 48 and 54V. Featuring a fanless design, the devices are offered with built-in active PFC. The power supplies, which are UL, CUL, CB and CE approved, are provided with short circuit, overload, over voltage and over temperature protections. Suitable applications include telecomms equipment, outdoor electronic signage, and petroleum plants or mine shaft facilities.
