Power supplies suitable for harsh environments
In order to meet the demands for high-grade AC/DC power supplies, necessitating low noise and operation under humid, dusty, oily, salty, ultra low or high temperature, high vibration, high altitude and poorly ventilated environments, MEAN WELL is pleased to unveil the 240W/320W ~HEP-240/320 series soon after launching HEP-100/150/185/600 series into the market.
These two series use an aluminium case, and the interiors are fully potted with heat-conducted silicon. This equips both series with IP65 level protection against the ingress of dust and water (IP68 level optional models are also available) as well as up to 10G anti-vibration capability.
The supplies operate under the ambient temperature range of -55 to +70°C, cooled by free air convection. To fit industrial control applications running in harsh environments all over the world, such as outdoor telecommunication equipment, outdoor electronic signage, billboards, petroleum plants or mine shaft facilities, the HEP family is a suitable choice.
