A series of AC/DC power supplies, which are sealed in a heat conducting potting material, has been introduced by Schaefer. Offered in 700, 1200 and 2000W outputs, the TERa power supplies operate across a wide temperature range of –50 to +85°C. For higher power or redundancy, the devices can be operated in parallel.

Alongside 100-242VAC universal inputs, the power supplies feature high power density, PFC and galvanic isolation. The TERa power supplies can be operated with single or multiple outputs, which are voltage adjustable. Highly efficient, the devices are offered with a full complement of protections and comply to EN55022 Class A (Class B with filter). The power supplies, which go through comprehensive temperature cycling and burn-in, are optionally available with cooper case and terminal block connections.

The TERa power supplies are particularly suitable for industrial automation, communications, rail/transit, oil/gas, utility, alternative energy and COTS military systems, all of which demand reliable performance in harsh environments.
