Phihong Improves Energy Efficiency on some adapters

Phihong has improved the energy efficiency of both its PSAA60M universal 3-wire input adapter series and its PSAA60W universal 2-wire input adapter series. Ideal for portable equipment, networking, peripherals, and gaming machines, the low-cost adapters are available in 12-, 15-, 18-, 24-, and 48V single output models; all of which are now ENERGY STAR EPS Version 2.0 (Level V) compliant.
Even though ENERGY STAR's EPS Version 2.0 standard is still voluntary, we feel that it is important to continually improve the efficiency of all of our products, said Keith Hopwood, vice president of marketing for Phihong, By holding our products to the highest standards possible, we are able to provide our OEM customers with high quality, high efficiency products, as well as be better prepared for future energy efficiency regulations.

Per ENERGY STAR EPS Version 2.0 specifications, Phihong's PSAA60M and PSAA60W Series' operate above 87% average efficiency and feature a no-load power consumption of less than 0.5W. The adapters also meet Class B EMI standards and feature cUL/UL, CE, TUV, and CB safety approvals and markings, as well as over-voltage and short-circuit protection with automatic reset and over-current protection.

Featuring low profile, non-vented, spill-proof cases, the PSAA60M and PSAA60W Series' measure 5.12? x 2.36? x 1.3? and terminate with a 2.1mm x 5.5mm center positive DC output connector. Each weighing 10.58 ounces, the adapters are rated for operation from 0°C to +40°C.
