Phihong - Energy-Efficient 30W Universal Desktop Adapter Series

Phihong has developed a new 30W, universal, three-wire input desktop adapter series, which it plans to release in the near future. Designated the PSC30U-V Series, the adapters are available in 12-, 24-, and 48VDC outputs; all of which are ENERGY STAR® EPS Version 2.0- and EISA-compliant. Featuring a low-profile design, non-vented, spill-proof case, and Class B EMI compliance, the 30W adapters are ideal for portable equipment, networking, peripherals, and gaming machines.
The PSC30U-V Series is the most recent development to stem from of our continued efforts to design and manufacture energy-efficient adapters that exceed current regulations and customer expectations, said Keith Hopwood, vice president of marketing for Phihong. Designing for energy-efficiency has been a part of our mission long before it became a catchphrase and, due to our extensive experience, we are able to provide OEMs with some of the industry's most energy-efficient adapters without sacrificing the design, quality, and performance that they have come to expect from Phihong.

Surpassing the minimum efficiency requirements of both EISA and ENERGY STAR EPS Version 2.0, PSC30U-V Series adapters operate above 83.5% average efficiency and feature a maximum no load power draw of 0.3W. The adapters also feature over-voltage protection with automatic shut down and recovery after AC power reset, over-current protection with auto restart, and short-circuit protection. Also, in addition to ENERGY STAR Level V efficiency markings, PSC30U-V Series adapters bear cUL/UL 60950-1, TUV 60950-1, CE, SAA, and C-Tick safety approvals and markings.

PSC30U-V Series adapters measure 4.59 x 2.17 x 1.24, feature IEC 320 C14 inlet receptacles, and weigh 8.82 ounces. Each adapter is terminated with a locking DC jack with 2.5mm center pins and comes standard with a removable DC output cord terminated with a 2.1mm output barrel plug. The series is rated for operation from 0 degrees C to +40 degrees C.
