Medical grade power adapter targets HP laptops

A medical grade power adapter, which is specifically designed to charge HP laptops, has been released by TRUMPower. The TMP135-19-HP AC/DC power supply is available in 135, 90 and 65W. Featuring a power-on LED indicator, the device is offered with a 5.1x7.4x12mm barrel connector and a 0.6mm smart pin, both of which are compatible with HP Compaq laptops.

The TMP135-19-HP is offered with the IEC 320/C14 or IEC320/C6 AC inlet (Class I model) and the IEC 320/C18 AC inlet (Class II model). The power adapter, which has a 0.98 active power factor, operates at 90 to 264VAC universal input and features soft-start and high peak power.

The device offers a low earth leakage current of less than 200µA and touch current of 100µA maximum at 264VAC, 63Hz. The TMP135-19-HP is approved to the 3rd edition of EN 60601-1, UL 60601-1 and IEC 60601-1 medical standards, and is also approved to EN/UL/IEC 60950-1 2nd edition standards.

The power supply, which has an active efficiency of up to 91%, complies with the CEC and Energy Star Level V standards. Measuring 170.94x71.88x41.91mm, the TMP135-19-HP is protected against overvoltage and overcurrent conditions and delivers 150,000 hours minimum MTBF at full load at 25°C ambient per MIL-HDBK-217F.

The TMP135-19-HP AC/DC power adapter is available now and sold in OEM quantities.
