Medical adaptors feature a leakage current less than 50μA
To meet the demand for medical power supplies, MEAN WELL has released the GSM40B/60B series of 40W/60W medical adaptors. IEC60601-1 (third edition) certified, the series feature a 2xMOPP design. The adaptors feature a leakage current of less than 50μA, efficiency of up to 91.5% and a no load power consumption less than 0.1W.
Compliant with the latest energy-saving regulations including ErP step 2 of European Union, the series operates from an input of 80-264VAC and provides various DC output voltages. The adaptors are class II unit (no FG) with UL 94V-0 level flame retardant plastic case, preventing shock. Other features include an LED indicator for power on, short circuit protection, over load protection, over voltage protection, and over temperature protection (for GSM60B only).
The series acquires global safety certificates per UL/CUL/TUV/CB/FCC/CE, including the household medical electrical device regulation EN60601-1-11 and ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1-11. Suitable applications include mobile clinical workstations, oral irrigators and portable hemodialysis machines, among others.
