The Mean Well PB-230 series battery charger has universal 90 – 264Vac full range input with active PFC function and using the standard IEC320-C14 inlet as the input connector, the units conform to the harmonic requirements of EN61000-3-2.
With 3-stage fast charging characteristics these battery chargers are suitable for all kinds of batteries, such as lead-acid battery, Lithium-Mn (LiMnO2) battery, Lithium-Fe (LiFePO4) battery, and sealed lead-acid gel batteries.

Utilising the 3-stage charging curve (constant current, constant voltage and floating) the PB-230 series can monitor the battery capacity by detecting the battery voltage. If the PB-230 detects a low battery capacity it can quickly charge the battery using the constant current mode.

Using a slight charging current to avoid battery damage caused by over-charging when the battery becomes full, the charger can automatically turn into constant voltage mode. In addition by using its floating-charge function, the PB-230 can make sure that the batteries capacity can be sustained at a sufficient level to allow use at any time.

The PB-230 has been designed with a front panel ON/OFF power switch, 2-color LED indicator for charging status, remote ON/OFF control, fan speed control, short circuit, over-voltage, and over temperature protections. The Mean Well PB-230 series also has global safety/EMC certificates per TUV, UL and CE
