Modules rated up to 1700V and 450A extend Littelfuse’s IGBT power control semiconductor offering. The company now offers half-bridge, six-pack, and PIM modules in S, D, H, W, and WB packages. As well as standard offerings, customised versions can meet exact specifications in drives and motion control, solar inverters, UPS and SMPS, and welding machines.

According to the company, the high, short circuit capability reduces protection requirements, and the positive temperature co-efficient devices can be parallelled to increase current handling capability.

The portfolio aims to meet design flexibility in three-phase inverter applications by integrating the rectifier and IGBT switch sections into a single industry-standard package. The addition of a 1700V half-bridge module portfolio extends use into more demanding industrial applications.
