Absopulse Electronics’ HBC 319-A/125FTS is a rugged ac/dc power supply that delivers 750W peak output power without fan cooling. It was specifically developed to provide the high peak power for the start-up of the motor in electric switchgear.
This industrial grade power supply generates 125Vdc at 4A, with 6A peak current for 30 seconds during the motor start-up stage. Several modules can be connected in parallel for higher output current to ensure that output voltage remains constant at 125Vdc, even during the high peak load period. The input accepts 115Vac (97-132Vac operating range) and a 230Vac input is also possible. Custom input and output options are available on request. A built-in redundancy diode provides separation between the units if used in multiple-configuration - a truly redundant system can be created with a number of units.

The HBC 319-A/125FTS is housed in a rugged, conduction/convection cooled 130 x 64 x 353 mm chassis. It is ruggedized and conformal coating is a standard feature for this application. The unit meets EN61373/IEC61373 shock and vibration standards. Electronic protection features include inrush current limiting on the input and non-hiccup-type short-circuit protection and self-resetting thermal shutdown on the output.
